HP 15-RB040UR
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

Recently became the owner of the laptop HP 15-RB040. It works very slowly. Already installed the SSD. But power is still lacking. Prompt what it is possible to buy the motherboard for modernization.

It's too late to return to the store. And want normal performance.

What motherboard with Intel Pentium or Core i3 processor do you recommend?

Thank.

@Grin2 Welcome to HP Community!

I suggest you press ctrl+alt+delete and select "task manager", once the task manager opens, select the processes tab, you have to scroll down to "service host: App Readiness" and select it.

  • Then right-click and select "end task", you will get to the desktop right away and everything works fine.
  • Then, go to Windows services (type "services" in the search box) and select the "App readiness" service > select properties> select startup type>  select disable! (do not select manual, automatic or automatic delayed because none of them will work)

After that, your device should have a better performance.

If you have any issues related to windows update after the above steps, please revert the charges and install the latest BIOS, and Chipset updates from the HP website to resolve the issue: Click here to find and install the same.

If you need information on replacing t the motherboard, here's what u need to do:

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.

Let me know how that pans out,
