I have a 4EY76UA#ABA ( 15-cr0053wm ) That I need to re-load Windows on.  The recovery partition will not work and I have tried many times.  I am trying to get the recovery tool to work but the ID no matter what I try shows invalid.  I seem to be in a loop, any links on when to get recovery media for this? Thank..

The issue is that if it doesn't work for you, you have no alternative, I don't think you can find the original software if you have this error.

Hi @best2drive

You can download Windows from the Microsoft website, and then update the drivers on the laptop's support page.

I was hoping to get HP recovery as it has all the SW it was originally shipped with.  I will just get the Win10 and go that route.

Here's the problem...

I have noticed in the last few months that HP seems to be removing cloud recovery tool support for notebook model series 5 years or older, and they have not communicated this situation.

Hundreds of notebooks that used to be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool no longer are.

If you really want the original HP factory image and are willing to pay, you can order a recovery kit for your notebook from this vendor at the link below.
