I keep getting told that i require adobe flash player to operate a program so i click to download which then starts the download ,it tells you that it has done this but you will see a sign moving on the page to tell you it is working, this dose not happen, when you look in add/ remove it says it is in there. I have removed it & tried it twice but the same thing happens every time. CAN anyone help please

first try deleting flash from add/remove programs, then go to control panel, internet options, advanced and reset, to reset ie 8 settings and try again

Are you using the 32 bit version version of IE 8 or the 64 bit version? Go to the Help bar for IE 8 and select about. It will tell you if you are using the 64 bit version. You can find the 32 bit IE 8 via the Start button.

I had the same problem. Adobe Flash Player will not work on the 64 bit version. I went through the loop several times installing and nothing happening. I launched the 32 bit version and it worked fine.

Many have found the Flash player will not work with the 64 bit IE. Adobe is a little bit behind the eight ball on this issue.

I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling flashplayer 10.1 using a 32 bit IE browser in Win7 (about 15 times so far) & I still cannot run any apps that use flashplayer. What else can I try? There must be some setting in the registry - I had a 2 week reprieve where flashplayer started working again & then poof! It doesn't work anymore & I didn't think it was going to regress so I didn't make a backup disk...
