Hi @Rohandeshmukh27,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Physical Connections:

  • Ensure the SSD is properly seated in the M.2 slot. You might need to open your laptop's back panel to confirm that the SSD is securely connected.

BIOS Settings:

  • Access the BIOS setup by restarting your laptop and pressing the required key (usually F2, F10, or ESC) during boot-up.
  • Once in BIOS, check if the SATA/NVMe configuration is set correctly. You may need to reset BIOS settings to defaults and then reconfigure.

Update/Re-flash BIOS:

  • Since the issue started after a BIOS update, it might help to re-flash the BIOS or revert to a previous version if possible. Visit the HP Support website to find the appropriate BIOS software for your model.

Data Recovery Options:

  • Consider using a USB SATA/NVMe adapter to connect the SSD to a different computer where you can attempt to recover your data.
  • If the SSD is detected, back up your important files immediately.

Boot from Recovery Media:

  • If you have a recovery USB or can create one from another computer, try booting from it and run repair utilities.
  • Use Windows Repair tools to attempt fixing boot issues. Sometimes commands like chkdsk or sfc /scannow can help.

Professional Data Recovery:

  • If you are unable to access the SSD through your computer or it doesn't show up in any external connection, consider consulting a professional data recovery service.

I hope this helps.

so i removed ssd and put it in another pc so it was booting properly in windows 11 and using enclosure i put that in my laptop(installed win 10 on hdd) and copied my imp files but when i put that ssd back in motherboard and tried it doesnt show in bios also and in disk management also. what to do?

Hii !! My HP 15 DA0077TX laptop began randomly restarting with BSODs, i went to HP Hardware Diagnostics app, and done firmware/BIOS update it said installed successfully, so just after that I went to battery calibration it showed u needed so I did it, laptop restarted and bios update was happening that too was successfully done but after that when it restarted it showed me error your PC/Device needs to be repaired. A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed. Error code: 0xc000000f. Post-update, the SSD is undetected in BIOS/Disk Management/Ubuntu Live USB, though it works in other pc (data backed up using enclosure). And after researching I found I have to reflash the BIOS but I don't know if the update had altered the Product Number and Serial Number, In BIOS setup now shows a generic InsydeH2O EFI BIOS with placeholder DMI strings: Product Number = 1234567#ABA,Serial Number = ABCDEF0123, HP Support Assistant lists two devices—the original record and a “new” generic one. Attempts to recover BIOS via HP methods like creating bios bootable failed with "media not detected" errors as I have downloaded the bios update of my original device with correct product and serial number as for generic it doesn't recognise the device on hp website. The SSD is confirmed functional externally, but reinstalling Windows on the HDD is slow. The priority is restoring the original BIOS settings and fixing the Product Number/Serial Number mismatch to resolve SSD detection issues and reinstall Windows properly. what should I do??
