HP Notebook BIOS Update Version F.30 - HP Support Community - 8710125

said it was OK for a user of a model 15-e2000 to upgrade to F.30 BIOS.  Now that model shows F.36 Rev A available.

I’m using an HP Envy x360 15-ds0013ca, and after BIOS version F.30 was pushed via Windows Update in April 2024, hibernate stopped working completely. My model is fully compatible with Windows 11, but HP’s support site shows no updated drivers or BIOS update or rollback options.

I’ve tried restoring BIOS defaults, re-enabling hibernate via powercfg /hibernate on, and checking HP Support Assistant — nothing fixes it. The Realtek audio driver also crackles after extended use, and AMD video drivers are outdated with no updates from HP.

HP’s chatbot loops me into paid support, even though this issue was caused by a firmware update. There’s no rollback or updated BIOS available (like F.22) for my model on Support, and no acknowledgment of the problem on the support site.

I’m asking HP to:

  • Confirm whether BIOS F.30 is known to break hibernate

  • Provide rollback or update/patch options

  • Release updated drivers for Windows 11 (audio, video, chipset)

This is unacceptable for a device that’s barely five years old and still meets Windows 11 requirements. Please escalate this to engineering or firmware teams.
