I have a HP pavillion g6 1282 sl laptop (pretty old) which came with window 7 preinstalled. I tried to power it on but the screen remains blank while Caps Lock key keeps blinking (white) every 2-3 seconds and after 4-5 minutes of being turned on the fan starts taking off.
After a few searches i came across a possible problem: BIOS is corrupt. So i went on and tried to create a USB BIOS recovery stick just like in this tutorial Step 2: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833
So i searched for the system BIOS update using the serial number and downloaded the .exe under BIOS section: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-g6-1200-notebook-pc-series/5145704/mode...
NOTE: i'm using another laptop(HP aswell - running windows 10) to search for the BIOS system update for the broken laptop.
Now when i click on the .exe file (sp62234.exe) and i follow in steps i'm never prompted with "Create Recovery USB flash drive" (like in the video tutorial at minute 1:10) but insteam i'm prompted with "Insyde Flash" where it says it is ready to update the BIOS on the laptop running the program.
