HP Omen 17 -cb0261ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I got a new HP Omen Notebook for a week now. All drivers are up to date (installed by HP Suport assistant). The Nvidia GeForce Driver (452.06) and all Windows Updates are installed. I installed a handful of other tools like PDF Reader and zipper etc. The BIOS is F.32.

When i run the notebook on battery mode (energy settings "HP Recommended") I get a BSOD with different sources (e.a. "win32kfull.sys" or  "driver overran stack buffer" or "unknown") about 1-5 minutes after i disconnected the power cord.

With connected Power cord the notebook runs stable.

What can i do?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting blue screen errors when the computer is running on battery.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

If you continue facing the issue, then run a system test on the computer following the steps in the below article.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for the replies to my problem.

I decided to let the notebook be exchanged by the dealer. I will get the new one tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I hope that one doesnt have these problems.
