Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15-cn1073wm
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The screen was frozen on the lock screen when I came back from work and then reset to log back in. But then after that, the system won’t load. And when I reset to do automatic recovery, i get nothing but a black screen and a cursor. I’m getting frustrated I need help. If I can’t fix the computer I am hoping I can at least salvage the hard drive. 
Can anyone help me?

Sounds like you have to rebuild your machine (for software)

 

1. Create Windows 10 installation media (USB, DVD ...) from another machine using

            https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

2. Boot machine using the above USB or DVD

3. Select install Windows 11 and keep existing users data/apps/programs

4. Run Windows updates after that
