HP Envy x360 15-fe0019na Convertible OLED Touchscreen Laptop – Core™ i7, Silver with Pen

I bought this laptop three weeks ago, tonight I turned on and got a black screen for several minutes, I turned it back off and turned it back on waited bout five minutes and then got the HP logo and the screen came on, but when I picked up the laptop he screen started to flicker and went off.

I should not be having these type of problems within the first couple of weeks of purchase.

Hi @Justin-A,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a hardware issue with your HP Envy x360 15. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

Check Connections: Ensure that all external devices are disconnected. Sometimes peripherals can cause issues.

Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove any external devices.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and turn it on.

Boot in Safe Mode: If the issue persists, try booting into Safe Mode:

  • Power on the laptop and repeatedly press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
  • Select "Safe Mode" and see if the screen behaves normally.

Check for Updates: If you can get the screen to stay on, check for Windows and driver updates, especially for the graphics drivers.

Display Settings: Sometimes, display settings can cause issues:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
  • Check for multiple displays and ensure the correct one is selected.

If you have the serial number, you can share it in a Private message, and I might be able to guide you further!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
