I have bought an used & refurbished Pavillion X2 12-B0000NL
In few weeks I got a lot of total freezing (so I have to hard turn off the notebook) or blue screens, even three in a hour.
So I decided to get a total new installation of Windows.
So I entered in the bios to select that I want the star from USB and there the problem...
It asks me for an administrator password and I have no idea of it.
I have already checked for the site in which you put the error code and get another and it hasn't worked. I have also contacted the telephone assistance and got no help.
So, my last error code (every time I have three errors it changes) is: 50A738C8
I'm not sure if it is a O or a zero.
Thanks so much for helping or if you have any alternative ideas to get my notebook working.

Sorry but we do not have a pass code generator for HEX codes yet.
You will need to contact HP and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.
