Hp Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm the owner of an HP Omen 15-CE018NP (Product ID: 2QE26EA#AB9) and i had a problem: the laptop doesn't start.

It shows a black screen saying:

"Boot Device Not Found

Please install an operating system on your hard disk.

Hard Disk - (3F0)"

It gives me an option to run a system diagnostics pressing the "F2".

When i do and check for the hard disk it shows:

"Smart check: Failed

Failure ID: OLMXX3-91G9AC-MFPURA-608703

Product ID: 2QE26EA#AB9

Hard Drive 1

Current Version: 1.21.0.0 - BIOS"

What can i do to solve this?

Thank you in advance.

This means your hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced and have Windows reinstalled.

You can purchase any replacement hard drive that is SATA 3, 2.5 in.

You can reinstall Windows by using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool found here.

The service manual for your computer can be found here.  Hard drive removal can be found on page 31 (Number in bottom right of PDF).

Anyway: will i be able to recover data from the hard drive? Or is it lost beyond recover?

The solution take battery off, press power on until stray current depleted, put battery on and restart  laptop won't work on this case?

Your hard drive is either failing or has failed. You can either try and connect the hard drive to another computer through a data cable and try and retreive the data but in most cases this is not possible or extremly hard to do. A data recovery service might be able to recover the data but for a price. So really you need to put a price on your data. Is it worth spending money to get it back or should you just move on and start over. I had this happen to me a few months back and while i still can get some of my data back I am choosing to just leave it and start over. If you do get this fixed i would suggest that you start making backups about once a month.

Welcome to the forum @Wildkatze

It does sound like you need to replace your HDD but if you also have "OPTANE" installed you have an "ADVISORY"
