I purchased a "HP 3 year pickup and return with accidental damage protection for consumer Notebooks" warranty for $250 back in December 2018.    I have all the saved information given with this laptop (emails, what was sent with Laptop) ... when I look up my warranty on HP, it says it expired.. I did a DISPUTE .. haven't heard back from HP ..    

 

 When I bought this Laptop, bought directly from HP, their website -- the HP salesman  sold me this warranty telling me that it was a Care package where if I did not use the warranty in these 3 years (would expire Dec 2021)... that I would get this $250 refunded, by applying for the Refund within the allotted time frame...    

 

I am confused and feel HP has lied to me about this warranty ..Has anyone else bought this specific warranty and was able to get the $250 refunded ?   Was sold as a 3 year Risk Free rebate - as shown below on this link...

Welcome to the HP Support Community.  

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

 

Make sure the  Carepack document is in handy while you contact the Support Center.

 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I contacted HP on the phone... was told by HP Rep on Dec 15th on the phone   that Care Package was updated.. I was also told I would get an email about this .. which I never did.. but was given a care package number

and that Yes, I am eligible to get the refund by calling the REBATE CLAIM department   (when Warranty will be 3 yrs old)   

 

BUT when I go to check the warranty on this site -did just now (Dec 21) : https://support.hp.com/us-en/warrantyresult/hp-spectre-13-ae000-x360-convertible-pc/16779579/model/1...   it's  still  telling me it is EXPIRED in FEB 2020... this is terribly confusing and I feel I am only getting the run around with HP.. . 

 

Should I just be calling the REBATE DEPT now ... who can help me get this updated since the Reps don't appear to be doing their job even when I give them proof.  ??
