Hi,

I've noticed that the LEDs of my keyboard turn off every 30 sec and I'd like to change that. I've found on the official support how to do so but it says I need to access the advanced options of the BIOS and I can't find it. I suppose that it's hidden so I'd like to know how to access it.

If it helps my bios version is F.26

I understand your concern, but there is no way you can change the keyboard LED timer settings as it is locked in BIOS as mentioned in my previous post. It is a default setting and will remain the same.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@LightStar0, Welcome to HP Support Community!

HP Pc’s uses a customized BIOS setting (Tattooed BIOS) of which some features are locked.

This is done in the best interest of safeguarding the PC for the optimal performance and not to cause any extensive component failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi TEJ1602, thanks for responding.

Unfortunately, this does not solve my problem.

Is there any other way you know of to change the keyboard's led timer?

So, only because of hp's "protection" I can't customize my pc. That's quite disappointing.

Thank you for replying TEJ1602, at least customer support isn't that bad.
