I have been trying to activate my 2 year consumer coverage plan on my new laptop, however even after refreshing the page multiple times there is no update/ confirmation of whether or not the registration was submitted or applied.

Hi @IDK_XD

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having trouble registering your 2-year Care Pack for your new HP laptop, and the registration process isn't updating or confirming submission. This can be frustrating, but there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue. Let’s go through the troubleshooting steps for this problem.

1. Clear Your Browser Cache or Try a Different Browser

Sometimes, issues with web forms or registration pages can be caused by cached data or browser-related problems.

Clear Cache and Cookies:

  • On Chrome: Go to SettingsPrivacy and securityClear browsing data. Choose "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," and then click Clear Data.
  • On Firefox: Go to SettingsPrivacy & SecurityCookies and Site DataClear Data.
  • On Edge: Go to SettingsPrivacy, search, and servicesChoose what to clear → select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click Clear now.

Try a Different Browser: If clearing your cache doesn't work, try using a different browser. For example, if you're using Chrome, try Firefox or Microsoft Edge.

2. Disable Browser Extensions

Certain browser extensions (like ad blockers or privacy tools) can interfere with web pages, especially those that involve forms or payment systems. Disable any extensions temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

3. Check for Typos or Missing Information

Sometimes the registration page may not submit properly if there's missing or incorrect information. Double-check all fields for accuracy, particularly:

  • Serial Number: Make sure the laptop's serial number is entered correctly (you can find it on a label on the bottom of your laptop or in the BIOS).
  • Care Pack Number: If you have a Care Pack registration number, ensure that it’s entered without any mistakes.
  • Personal Information: Ensure your email address and contact information are correct.

4. Try Registering on the HP Support Website

Instead of registering the Care Pack through a link in the email or promotional page, you can go directly to the HP Support website to register your device and Care Pack.

  • Visit the official HP Support website: HP Support.
  • Navigate to SupportProduct Registration.
  • Follow the prompts to sign in or create an HP account if you don't have one.
  • Once logged in, look for the option to add your product and enter your laptop’s serial number.
  • After registering your device, check the section for Care Pack Registration or enter the Care Pack number to register your coverage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
