Hi there, Its better to attach pictures of the messages I am getting everytime I try to turn on the laptop, by the way, I have a new Windows 8 CD but still the computer keeps asking for drivers and sections are missing, it did say try to use recovery then do the upgrade to Windows 8 but that didn't work because the system won't boot.

Cn you help please, I don't have any recovery options.

If the HDD Self-test  isn't available it indicates a dead hard drive. Explains why Windows installer can't find a drive.

Usually when the laptop is trying to boot to PXE it means the hard drive is dead. Enter BIOS by tapping away on the F10 key to see if you can test hard drive using Diagnostics.

Hello again

I managed to get to the diagnostic at the computer setup (F10) and I did the 2 available test and both tests passed.

Now is there's another step I should do? As I mentioned I'm trying to upgrade the OPS from Windows XP to Windows 8 but it keeps asking for missing drives.

I even tried to restore the system to its factory origin but didn't work.

Kind regards Webp.net-resizeimage.jpg
