@MAKARA1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Recovery Tool Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you are encountering issues with running the HP Recovery Tool on your HP laptop model 15s-eq 2014ni, follow these steps to resolve the configuration problems:

Check System Requirements:

  • Ensure that your device meets the necessary requirements to run the HP Recovery Tool. Check for any specific hardware or software prerequisites.

Update BIOS:

  • An outdated BIOS version can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Visit the HP Support website and check for any available BIOS updates for your laptop model. If a BIOS update is available, follow the instructions to update your system.

Perform a System Check:

  • Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics utility may help uncover any hardware issues. Install the utility if it’s not present and perform a diagnostic test to ensure your hardware is functioning properly.

Reset BIOS Settings:

  • Resetting your BIOS settings to factory defaults can resolve certain configuration issues. To do this, restart your laptop and press esc during the boot process. Then select BIOS Setup and navigate to reset to factory defaults.

Update Drivers and Windows:

  • Ensure all your drivers and Windows operating system are up to date. Use Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to check for and install any available updates.

Change Boot Order:

  • If the tool doesn’t start using the recovery media, adjust the boot order in the BIOS to prioritize booting from USB or optical drive, depending on your recovery media type.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
