Hi,

I have purchase new laptop "HP Pavilion Plus 14 inch Laptop PC"

Whenever i start my laptop first time, it freezes after loading the desktop or 3-4 min after loading the desktop.

I have to press power button and have to restart the laptop again. 

After 2nd restart there is no issue.

This is consistent pattern everytime.

What could be the issue

I understand your new HP Pavilion Plus 14 freezes the first time you start it, but works fine after a restart. Since this happens consistently, it may be related to startup drivers or updates not initializing properly. Please try the following steps:

 

Update Windows & Drivers

Go to Settings → Windows Update and install all updates.

Open HP Support Assistant and install the latest drivers, especially graphics and chipset.

Check Fast Startup

Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do.

Click Change settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup → Save changes.

Restart and test if the freeze stops.

Update BIOS

Visit the HP Support page for your model and install the latest BIOS update.
