Hi everyone!

My hard drive died and I changed for a SSD. My question is, do I need to buy a new OS for my SSD or is there a way to get a key from HP?

Hi:

 

You don't need to do either.  The W10 product key is in the BIOS.

 

Your notebook is probably supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, which by using another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive, you can make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
