Yes, I don't understand why the HP AMD graphics driver isn't working.

The zip file did work perfectly. I am still having trouble with the graphic drivers. The AMD site does not show drivers for a R8 300 series. The AMD auto detect app does not  detect the correct drivers, it shows as compatible, the R7 300 series and I cannot get them to work. Device manager may show as an attempted driver worked, and then the notebook may reboot or refresh and show with yellow again. This is the only issue the notebook appears to have.

Hello Paul,

Wow, it took days, but I got it, no more errors in device manager. Under display adapters, I now have and see these-

"AMD Radeon R8 M365DX  and AMD Radeon(TM) R7 Graphics" .

The specs for this Notebook reads in part 'Graphics AMD Radeon R8 M360' with DDR3. Other post I saw it has 'switchable' graphics. I don't know anything about that, some of the special function key do not work to change volume or screen level. I guess I do not have the Mfg software to make them work.  What I had to do to have no graphic errors or blue screen resets is use an old AMD driver, rather than the newer ones. One that is close to the 'born date' of the notebook. That discovery perhaps would have been my last attempt to stop the device errors and blue screen reboots. I know the notebook is older but I think it is working better than ever now. After making a backup image, I will install Windows 11 again and see if I can again have no device manager errors. Thanks again and for sticking with me.

The notebook generally runs off the AMD Radeon R7 Graphics adapter and if more graphics 'horsepower' is needed the notebook automatically switches to the AMD Radeon R8 M360 GPU.

 

For the Fn keys to work properly, you may need this utility:

 

HP System Event Utility

 

This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information.

Your PC does not meet Microsoft's minimum AMD mobile processor requirements of an AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor or newer.

I do know Windows 11 is not supported on this notebook. This will not be the first one I did a work around with Windows 11 and to date had no known issues afterwards. Those did have TPM 2.0, like this one has.  I will watch the video and see if it is different from the ways I know or if it may be easier. Back when I purchased this notebook, it was on sale and had many of the features I liked, other than an Intel CPU. After the issues of slowness and these AMD driver issues, I will continue to lean towards Intel processors. I think the new SSD will help over the slow HDD.
