Well I've gone and done a stupid thing; I've downgraded from windows 10 to 64 bit win 7 professional.
It's all well and fine, but I've having issues with drivers. and I was NOT smart enough to write them all down before I pulled windows 10.
Please help....
Network Controller:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8179&REV_01
PCI Encryption Controller:
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1537&SUBSYS_82F6103C&REV_00
Bus Comtroller:
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_780B&SUBSYS_82F6103C&REV_42 (NOTE THIS ONE IS CLOSE TO THE SAME AS ABOVE, I THINK ONE WILL WORK FOR BOTH?)
USB Controller:
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_780B&SUBSYS_82F6103C&REV_11 (NOTE SAME AS ABOVE EXCEPT FOR REV so ONE WILL PRObABLY WORK?)
UNKNOWN DEVICE:
ACPI\SMB0001
UNKNOWN DEVICE:
ACPI\MSFT0101
Can anyone please help?? HP doesn't seem to have any drivers available online anymore, so I'm in a tight spot???

Hi, @jrope1 :
No worries...here are the drivers you need for W7 x64...
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8179&REV_01:
This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp79001-79500/sp79095.exe
PCI Encryption Controller: Manually install this driver as follows...
This package provides AMD PSP Driver for supported desktop models that are running a supported operating system.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp74501-75000/sp74653.exe
Download and run the above driver. I do not believe it will install the device automatically, so that is why you have to manually install it.
In the W7 device manager, you will find a device named as a PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller (that is the AMD PSP device in need of the driver).
Click on the PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller device. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp74653.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
Bus Controller: & USB Controller: 1st driver on the list and restart the PC.

You probably need the graphics driver too...Middle or last file on the page...your option for full or minimal install.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/apu?os=Windows%207%20-%2064
ACPI\SMB0001
This package provides the driver that enables the Synaptics TouchPad in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The driver enables general touchpad functionality (for example double-tap and scroll) and provides a user interface.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp75501-76000/sp75629.exe
ACPI\MSFT0101:
I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft hotfix to get the TPM 2.0 driver to work on W7, below.
Download, unzip and run the file.

might be your only hope here
This old post has some drivers for some of the same hardware IDs:
However, your notebook is AMD and that was an Intel so I think just the first driver listed, for the "Network Controller" (wireless) is likely to work.

Huffer-
Thank you for the quick response!
I was absolutely STUPID to not make copies of the drivers when I pulled windows 10. If only I could turn back time!
Anyway, regarding that link you sent, the thread seems to have some great links, but they're all totally dead.
Also, when I try to do driver searches on HP's website I can't get further than entering my model number and OS. It seems none of them are hosted online anymore?
Do you think i could get any traction by contacting HP's help email/phone directly??
Thanks again!
