HP Pavillion 15-cc023tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my new laptop hp pavillion 15-cc023tu two days back. Laptop work perfectly firstday. 2nd day when i tried to turn on my laptop, only the power button light and LED of power glow properly. But the Drive LED didn't glow at all. The Screen was black at that moment.

I pressed and hold power button for some moments to shut it down. When it shut down, i tried to turn it on again and this time Both LED'S of power and drive glow.

This problem is still happening.

What i performed, is not the permanent fix. It was temporary fix for my case.

Need permanent solution. Good night

@EngrNahid,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Have you tried to use a different compatible charger and check if it helps?

Let's try these steps here:

Have you tried to run a test on the video card from F2?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the notebook

Before power resetting your computer, do the following:

  1. Disconnect or remove all peripheral devices. Start up the laptop and test the computer by itself, and then reconnect one peripheral device at a time.

  2. Turn over the computer and look for a battery compartment door.

I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults. You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. That way it will look at the Hardware installed on the Notebook.

Once done, restart the computer and check.

Now, let's try to update the Bios, Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP Support website, using this link or download it using HP Support Assistant.

To download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

Once done, restart the computer and check.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest here is to run an extensive system test from F2.

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.

When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

4. Click Extensive Test.

5. Click Run once, or Loop until error.

While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are

shown on the screen.

6. If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) so you have it

available when you contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in

Test Logs on the main menu.

Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Have a great day!
