Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My daughter is trying to factory reset her hp x2 detachable 10-poxx. When she tries to enter the recovery i.d..  It only allows numbers to be entered. There are both letters and numbers in the i.d.. The letters just don't work. She also tried detaching the unit and used the touchscreen, and only a number keyboard popped up. Not the regular keyboard. How can I make this work?
