I need to free up 8 GB I have only 2 GB available. I have deleted all possible space-taking files, did the disk clean up etc., I can't delete the remaining files because they are system files. I have a micro sd card with 25GB free space but I can't utilize it because windows 10 want to update on the C:drive.  Please HELP!

Hi

Can you start in SAFE MODE?

I would use Belarc Advisor and print out any/all the settings and licences ASAP.

I would try and create a recovery media in case it all goes wrong, by...

Make a USB with W10 on.

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr

Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html
