According to the parts list the hard drive is 3.5."

I recommend you take this opportunity to upgrade the mechanical hard drive to a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

You can buy an adapter like this which is the same size as a 3.5" drive, mount the 2.5" drive inside it and it should fit right where the 3.5" drive is now.
