Hi:

Open the Windows Control Panel, select Programs and Features, right click the entry for the HP 3D DriveGuard, and select Uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

When you are at the Windows desktop, download and install this version of HP 3D DriveGuard at the link below, and restart the PC.

This did not work for me. I have uninstalled successfully the original HP 3D DriveGuard and several different reinstalled suggested by variouys HP Experts on this forum. After each successful reinstall of the HP 3D DriveGuard I still get the error message. I do not get the error message when the file is completely uninstalled. This is a brand new laptop I got today, and there wasn't an error message before updating Windows. Now on  brand new computer I haven't even used yet, accept to update it's software I can't get rid of this error message. Also my fan is constantly running. How do I get rid of this error message.

I have a HP Envy x360 Convertible 15m-bp0xx

Processor: Intel Core i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.71

Edition: Windows 10 Home

Version: 1709

OS Build: 16299.98
