Product: HP 240 G7
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I shutdown my computer today and accepted the updates. Somewhat surprised to find it was a BIOS update. The computer is now stuck writing block 928 out of 4096 and has been for the last hour and 20 mins. How do I recover from this without turning my new notebook into a brick? It is only a month old.

OK, I eventually had to take the risk and power cycle. Fortunately on reboot it flashed back to the original BIOS and I didn't end up with an expensive paperweight. I guess now I need to hunt out how to disable BIOS updates.
