I have posted the same issue before here (albeit slightly different):

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Laptop-not-waking-up-from-sleep...

and found another user with similar issue here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Slow-wake-up-from-sleep-mode/m-...

Although the other user had better laptop configuration than mine, we had the same problem on our notebook which is: very slow (since it has very good specs) about 10 sec to wake up from sleep. the keyboard light turned on quickly but monitor will take up to 10sec to turn on. My 8 years old HP pavillion can wake up almost instantly.

I've done a couple of full reset on my laptop and I reckon it is not the solution to this problem. Could you please done something via software update please?

I really like this laptop but issues with softwares have really negate me from giving 5 stars to this beautiful machine.

1. Slow wake up from sleep mode

2. Not a precision touchpad compatible.

Thanks

I have the same problems, can you help me?

The fact that another user had similar issue should signify  HP that  something is wrong with this laptop. Perhaps simple software fix through BIOS should fix it.

I've read somewhere where problem related to slow wake up from sleep is because there is issues with the GPU software and BIOS.

Im tired of the same replies from HP employees that suggest very generic and lazy suggestion like full reset or format the machine. I've tried it many times. 5 times to be exact and the problem persist.

Please help.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I have the same problem, brand new Elitebook 1050 G1, 32GB ram, 2TB ssd, 4K display and.....20+ seconds to wake from sleep mode!

Unbeliveble...

Could you please send me the private secret message to fix this issue?

I also have a 4 years Carepack, are this (not strictly hardware) issues covered by the Carepack? Where am I supposed to call?

Thank you

You should wait until one of the HP people to contact you. Make more noise in the forum and they will reply. Until you are in direct contact with one of the customer care personnel, it will be quite painful to wait for a response. But once they do, they are super. this is from my previous experience and im not sure how yours will be.

I think they should cover this issue with your carepack.

Good luck
