Hi,

Ive bought EliteBook 8470p and it was without a bluetooth. It had just dual wifi card, so I bought intel centrino advanced 6235 card and replace it for the old one. Suddenly, bluetooth still doesnt work. I run on Windows 8 Pro N. Ive tried official newest intel drivers and also HP drivers and I cant fix it.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks :smileyhappy:

Hi,

did BT work atleast once after the card replacement or never worked?

few things to check here...

1) After you change the card, did you check the BIOS setting for the Bluetooth functinality is enabled from there or not.  - please check BIOS settings and ensure that BT Radio is active from BIOS.

2) whan you try to install bluetooth drivers, do you get any error or applications just install fine.  - Please confirm and provide error details if any error during installation.

3) check Windows 8 Wireless settings and check if the bluetooth is disabled from there. you can check it under - Settings>Change PC settings> Wireless...

try to toggle bluetooth from there and install the drivers again if its not installed already.

4) is there any unknown or uninstalled wireless devices in your PC under device manager? open device manager and check for any device with error or disabled marks.

Hope above information helps fix the issue for you. Good Luck !!!!

WW

Hi, thank you for your response :).

I dont have any option in BIOS settings to turn BT up :(. I checked for a several times. Maybe some hint, where it should be located will helps me. But, im almost 100% sure, there is no option like that.

No, BT havent worked at all. I took the old card out, I put in newer one, wifi started to work immidiately, but BT no. And I dont have any option in Windows 8 settings about BT. It looks like, it just doesnt exist :). Bez názvu.png there is an image about some settings. device.PNG and there is no unknown devices in the device manager 😞

Hi,

since there is no BT option available within windows. also no unknown device for the BT hardware. Ionly option I think missing could be BT is disabled from BIOS.  or the BT itself does not exit in the card you bought(its possible incase of custom wireless cards).

Please enter BIOS> go to system configuration > builtin Device options > see what are the options there. if there is no BT option there, that means there is no bluetooth hardware exist on the PC. if its there and not enabled, please enable it, Save and exit saving changes.

hope it helps, Good Luck !!!!
