HP Envy Laptop Battery Issue

HP Recommended
HP ENVY Laptop - 17t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a brand-new HP ENVY Laptop - 17t laptop, 3 months old. My battery drains without usage. I charge it completely at night and unplug. However, the next the day in the morning the battery shows 0% and I have to recharge again. This issue occurs sporadically. I have performed battery collaboration few weeks back and I have restarted the laptop. I performed component test of the battery and it all checks out “Ok”. Anyone experiencing this issue?

I am reading conflicting reviews online about leaving the laptop plugged in all the time versus unplugging the laptop after charging and using the laptop on battery and then charging it back. Should I leave my laptop plugged in all the time? Doing so will it cause any issues and is it safe?

Any assistance / guidance I will be appreciate.

Thanks.

@FrederickMD

Leaving the laptop plugged in all the time will do no damage.  I have one that has been plugged in 24/7 for years and years, and it has suffered no damage at all as a result of that.

Dear WAWood,

Thank you for your reply.  However, you didn't reply about why my laptop battery drains to 0% without usage after fully charging it to 100%.  I have taken all the steps mentioned in my previous posts.  And, again I experience this issue sporadically.

Any guidance or knowledge experience you can share, I would appreciate.

Thank you again!
