Hello, I recently upgraded from Win 7 To Windows 10 and even stopped auto-updates.
How do I know if I have a Backlight keyboard? I asked because I saw in the official user manual as below
Manuel Link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03011618
" Keyboard light button and ambient light sensor: Turns on the keyboard light and automatically adjusts the
display brightness based on the lighting conditions in your
environment."
Hard Page no:14, PDF page No 22
What do I need to turn on the backlight on my laptop
if my function buttons work but don't turn on anything of backlight and their sign are as
[f3 - Sleep, f4 a rectangle with 2 vertical lines beside it (I saw the same sign-on VGA cable), f5 is blank, f6 low vol. , f7 increase vol. , f8 battery sign, f9 small sun ( was working as decrease brightness when in brightness settings), f10
large sun ( was working as increase brightness when in brightness settings), f11 sun with a triangle filled half solid and half with lines) f12 blank ]
I saw a solution but it was in bios setup in the action center
I thought it can do something wrong.
please help if you know something

Hi,
It does not have a keyboard backlight.
It might have a light for the keyboard on the screen with the button right beside it
Hope it helps,
David
