Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

My laptop was doing an update when I must of shut it down quick and now it’s stuck in a loop on the start up screen, it shows the HP logo, then it says it’s trying to restore windows then flashes back to the HP logo and repeats itself. It was windows 8 so I’m guessing it’s the windows 10 update. Is there a way to sort this? I’m worried about losing all my photos.

Try to do a System Recovery. Have a large capacity flash drive or usb external hard drive to plug in to backup files when it asks. Read through the steps here to see what to expect:
