My HP pavilion 14inch laptop with SSD stopped booting after 3years of  usage mostly for student activity . Tried all arts of rebooting and repairing the OS and reinstallinf the OS. Looks like SSD is not detecting for re installing  windows 11 OS , using  bootable usb . SSD replaced with New SSD suspecting corrupted SSD disk but no use same issue disk of missing error with reinstall step.

Any suggestions on what might be reason why I can't reinstall or repair my laptop?.  However bios SSD storage test passes, but same SSD is not available while selecting the drive for OS installation. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

@MKS23, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check BIOS Settings

Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.

Change SATA mode to AHCI (not RAID).

Enable or Disable Secure Boot depending on your bootable USB.

Save and exit BIOS.

Load Storage Drivers

Start the Windows installation.

When it asks for a drive, click Load Driver.

Download the SSD drivers from HP or the SSD manufacturer, and load them.

Update BIOS

Check HP's website for the latest BIOS update for your model and follow the instructions to update.

Test SSD in Another Device

Try plugging the SSD into another computer to see if it's working properly.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
