Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help with a persistent issue I'm experiencing on my HP ProBook 450 G7 (Comet Lake, 10th Gen Core i7 QuadCore, 16GB RAM), running Windows 10.

The Problem:

My laptop screen will suddenly start flickering erratically. Sometimes it then goes completely blank/black, and other times it just gets stuck displaying a flickering or frozen image. Shortly after the screen issue starts, the entire laptop hangs or freezes, becoming completely unresponsive.

The only way to recover is to hold down the power button to force a shutdown. After restarting, the laptop works normally again for a while, but the issue eventually returns.

Request for Help:

  • Has anyone else with a ProBook 450 G7 (or similar model) experienced this exact issue?

I'm getting quite frustrated and worried it might be a serious hardware failure. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
