Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Stream 11 Pro G5 (5VR92UT#ABA). The recovery partition is gone due to a reimage. Under the options for this model is HP Cloud Recovery. It is listed on its product page:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-stream-11-pro-g5-notebook-pc/21949282/model/2194...

When I run the recovery tool, it puts the correct Product ID in the field, but says it is invalid . I tried putting it in manually as well.

Hi:

The same issue for the G4.

HP has the cloud recovery client on the support pages but it isn't applicable to our models.

So...use the media creation tool to reinstall Windows 10.  You will have the option to create a bootable USB installer.

If your PC is still under warranty, call HP and ask them to send you a USB recovery drive.

They should send it free of charge if your PC is under warranty.

We are testing this for our school system and use our image, but wanted to return to factory HP image to do some testing on the battery, apples to apples. I do not understand why put the option on the page if it is not available for that model. Makes no sense and only frustrates people.

That is because HP can't make up their minds if these Stream G#'s are consumer class or business class notebooks.

I complained to them about it, and submitted a request to have this fixed.  Nothing has been done ATT.

If you're in Canada or the United States, call 1-800-334-5144, and have them send you the factory recovery USB drive.
