Help!

My laptop downloaded updates on Friday and now I'm stuck on the hp logo screen, with constant 'Driver PNP watchdog error' message. Finally got it to tell me the BIOS recovery files couldn't be found and I've created a USB recovery but now I can't get into the HP emergency recovery feature to load it!

Any suggestions? This laptop is 3 weeks old and I can't afford to be offline,
