Hi, my laptop was running low on charge so I plugged it in however it still died and now the charger won't work (I've tried two different ones) and whenever I press the power button the light by the charger flashes three times but nothing else happens and the laptop stays black.

This looks like hardware issue and you may need to check the memory.

 

Reseat the memory. See the section Re-seating memory modules in a notebook for more information.
