My laptop was fine the day before..today it's telling me disk not installed yet it's there. Tried resetting the bios but that did not fix things..what can I do

Hi,

You will need to replace the Hard Drive and reinstall Windows on the notebook.

The screen CLEARLY says the drive has failed -- so WHY would you think any BIOS stuff would magically fix that?

 

You could press F4 to run the disk test, but that would most likely only confirm the failure.

 

As already mentioned by @iomare you need to replace the failing drive.
