Hi All, Where could I find the OS Recovery Media for HP Pavillion DV6 Entertainment PC. I have lost the Disc and my hard drive has crashed. I have installed a new Hard Drive and also Upgraded the Ram to 8 GB. Ideally I can install now 64 BIT OS if available

Hi:
HP no longer sells recovery media for your notebook.
Can you still read all 25 characters of the Windows 7 product key on your PC's case?
If so I can give you the link to a W7 Home Premium 64 bit English (US) ISO file you can download and hopefully the product key on your notebook's case will work on it.

You're very welcome, Krishna.
Below is the link to the W7 x64 Home Premium English (US) ISO file.
The link will be good for up to 24 hours from the time I post this reply.
Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.
After W7 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
Since the ISO file is a retail file, and the Windows 7 product key on your notebook's case is OEM, you may have to use the automated Microsoft phone activation system to activate Windows.
Hopefully it will work for you. I know it works on PC's from the USA and Canada, so it will be an experiment to see if it works on PC's from India as well.
