How can I determine if I can use Optane memory in my HP Envy Laptop - product #2YY28AV using Windows Home 10

Your machine is a CTO machine, no available specs but from the following list

What does it have for storage now ? It has M.2 slot for Optane (under Drive section). BUT why you need Optane when you can add M.2 NVMe SSD to it then use M.2 SSD as boot drive, keep existing HDD for storage.

You can check Device Manager (Disk drives section) to see does it already have Optane or not.

I don't see that Intel Optane memory is supported, even though NVMe M.2 SSD's are supported.

I believe that your notebook's BIOS needs to have a setting to enable/disable Intel Optane memory.

One would normally only want to use Intel Optane memory to accelerate a 2.5" mechanical hard drive.
