How do I get apps on my HP Windows 7 laptop? Can I get them like I do on my iPad?

Microsoft (MS) provides their Windows Store -- which you can access from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps

But, unlike with Apple, most of the apps that Windows folks use are NOT provided by MS at all, but by third-party vendors, and there is no single source of app information for all of those.

You basically have to Google for the functionality you want, find lists of suggested Apps, read the reviews (if there are any) and then choose which ones to buy, download, and install.
