HP 17 Laptop PC 17-c2000 IDS Base Model

Just had a 14 minute chat with a person trying to get to my embedded Windows 11 product key so I could make a USB W11 backup. She denied that I needed it, then gave me wrong information on how to use Powershell to find it, the eventually told me to download a free app from Microsoft that gave the key in a second. When I told her I understood why she was rated at 58%, she had a very snide reply. I want to provide HP with a rating because she is damaging their reputation.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

Name-Shaming is not useful here --  we don't publicly shame those who try to help.

That said, Sure - I get it.  "Snide" is bad from either side of the fence.

Worth Noting

  • Our HP Community is a peer-to-peer user group.
  • We are not HP Technical Support -- We are not associated with HP Sales, Service, or Warranty.
  • Our request for assistance on your behalf does not guarantee HP will respond nor does our request influence the outcome.
  • The time frame (how long it takes) to receive a response from HP is not controlled by the Community.

Important

  • HP does not free-post HP Support numbers on the Internet.  Not.  Not in secret, not in chat, not in pop-ups, and not so a nice technician can call you back, sneak into your computer, and then tell you your computer is full of bugs.

  • Be wary of any posted messages in the Community containing phone or email links – these are likely scammers who mean you harm.

  • Please do not post any personal information in the Community.  We are a public resource.

I'm not "name shaming", I'm serious. I'm a retired CIO of a very large wireless firm, and if any of our reps treated customers like this person did, they would be reprimanded and retrained. She has a 58% rating associated with her name, and based on her performance with me, that is too high. She is damaging HP's reputation.
