Hi, my computer has been stuck in the diagnosing error, fixing error loop.

ive just done the f11 hard disk test and it failed. It says smart check passed, short DST failed. Code = GLKTJK-5N49RC-XD015G-60UI03

ive tested memory too and that’s also failed 😞 GLKTJK-5N49RC-XD015G-404903

im really not very good at computers. I don’t know what to do? Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi:

With both of those codes, you will have to replace both the hard drive and the memory module that failed.

The memory failure test does not specify which memory module failed if your notebook has more than one.

If your notebook has only one module, then replace it.  If it has two, remove one, and turn on the notebook and hardware check the memory module.  If you get a failure ID code, remove it and install the first one you removed.

Consult the service manual for your specific model notebook for the hard drive and memory removal and replacement procedures...

Whichever one produces the error code needs to be replaced.
