Hi @Ammyprince,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with freezing issues on your laptop, especially after a reset. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the "HP System Power State Notification Driver" issue:

Update Drivers Manually:

  • Go to the HP Support website.
  • Enter your laptop model (HP ENVY x360 15-ew0000) and navigate to the "Drivers" section.
  • Download and install the latest version of the HP System Power State Notification Driver.

Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the System devices section, find "HP System Power State Notification Driver," right-click it, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. Sometimes, critical updates can resolve driver issues.

Safe Mode:

  • Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to see if it starts without freezing.
  • You can do this by turning on your laptop and pressing the F8 key (or holding the Shift key while clicking Restart) until you see the recovery options. Select Safe Mode.
  • If it works in Safe Mode, you can try uninstalling any recently installed software or drivers that may be causing conflicts.

Rollback Driver:

  • If you recently updated any drivers, you can try rolling them back.
  • In Device Manager, right-click the driver and select Properties. Under the Driver tab, choose Roll Back Driver if the option is available.

Check for Corrupt System Files:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator (search for "cmd," right-click, and select "Run as administrator").
  • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will scan for and attempt to repair any corrupt system files.

System Restore:

  • If the issue persists, you might consider performing a system restore to revert your laptop to a previous state when it was working correctly.

Refer to this document: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000 User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
