HP Pavilion x360 m3-u001dx (ENERGY STAR)

I am connecting my new HP Chrome and disconnecting HP Pavillion. They have different connecting cables.

What do I need to complete the connection. Files and data already copied from Pavillion to Chrome Book.
Please advise. Enter a value (?)

@Tonogar, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To connect your new HP Chromebook and ensure it is properly set up after disconnecting your HP Pavilion, follow these steps:

Set up Chromebook:

  • Power Supply: Ensure your Chromebook is plugged into a power outlet using the provided AC adapter.
  • Internet Connection: Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi. This can be done via the network settings in the Settings menu.
  • Google Account: Sign in to your Chromebook using your Google account to sync your data and preferences.

Transfer and Access Files:

  • Since you have already copied your files and data from the HP Pavilion to the Chromebook, ensure all necessary files are accessible in your Google Drive or other cloud storage solutions you are using.

Peripheral Devices:

  • If you have external devices (like printers, external monitors, etc.), ensure they are compatible with your Chromebook and connect them accordingly using the appropriate cables (e.g., USB-C, HDMI).

Chromebook Ports:

  • Pay attention to the types of ports available on your Chromebook. Common ports include USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and microSD slot, depending on the model. Ensure you have the correct adapters if your peripheral devices require different connections.

Software and Apps:

  • Download and install necessary apps from the Google Play Store or Chrome Web Store that you need for daily operations.

Printing:

For more specific guidance on setting up and operating your HP Chromebook, review the user manual that came with your device or visit the official HP support page.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
