I have been trying to install windows 7 64 bit on this pc using a bootable USB but I am getting an error saying "CD/DVD driver is missing". Please tell me how to proceed.

Hi:

The easiest thing to do would be to install W7 via a DVD.

Otherwise you have to run this utility to put the required USB3 drivers into your W7 installation flash drive.

There is a readme link on the webpage for how to use the utility.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/NUCs-Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility

Unfortunately many folks have issues tying to install W7 with a USB flash drive, so if that doesn't work, unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

But that is why you are getting that message.

Hi There,

Thanks a lot! The solution provided by you worked. I have been installing windows from a couple of years but I encountered this issue first time.

Thanks again, you taught me something new.
