Hi @PMKernen57 ,

1. Check Paper Tray

  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the main tray.
  • Verify that the paper stack is not overfilled and the paper guides are adjusted correctly against the paper edges.

2. Clear Any Paper Jams

  • Open the paper tray and remove any jammed paper.
  • Check the paper path and output slot for any remnants of paper.

3. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and power on the printer.
  • Try printing again.

4. Update Printer Driver

  • Visit the HP Support website and ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your laptop.
  • Open Device Manager and expand Printers to ensure no yellow caution signs are present, indicating a driver issue.

5. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
  • Use it to detect and fix any configuration or other issues preventing printing.

6. Resolving Software Issues

  • Ensure that the correct printer is set as default in Devices and Printers.
  • Check and clear the print queue:
    • Open Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what’s printing.
    • Click on Printer in the menu bar, then select Cancel All Documents.

7. Check Printer Offline Status

  • In Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer and make sure Use Printer Offline is not selected.

8. Test Print Functionality

  • Open a different document or use another application to print and see if the issue is consistent across different programs.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "Out of Paper" issue.

Hope this helps solve your issue
