@Jay680, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Notebook 17-ak019na power light does not show when you press the power button, you can try the following steps to diagnose and resolve the problem:

Check the power supply.

  • Ensure the power outlet you are using is functional.
  • If you have another compatible charger, try using it to see if the notebook powers up.

Reset the laptop:

  • Disconnect the charger.
  • Remove the battery if it is removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain residual electrical charge from the capacitors.
  • Reinsert the battery and connect the charger, then try to power on the laptop.

Inspect for Physical Damage:

  • Check for any physical damage to the power buttons or power connector.

You can purchase a compatible charger from the HP Parts Store.

To ensure compatibility, you can find the exact charger needed by visiting the HP Parts Store and entering your notebook model number. Alternatively, here are some steps you can follow:

  1. Visit HP Parts Store.
  2. Enter your notebook model (HP Notebook 17-ak019na).
  3. Search for the power adapter to find a compatible charger.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
