I have deleted my recovery disk partition. I have to create 2 more partitions

HP 15 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good Morning to All,

I am using Windows 10 Single language Home edition on Intel i5-4210U CPU @1.70GHz, 2.40GHz, with 4GB RAM and 1TB hard disk. I deleted my recovery disk by mistake. Now I want to create 2 more partitions, one for data and other for REcovery disk. How do I Do it.

Also I want to create recovery disk. How do I do it and what should be my partition sizes.

Thanks

Hi,

You can only bring back HP Recovery partition only be doing factory reset using HP recovery USB/discs.

Have you created one after first setup of this notebook?

If no, you've to order then from HP in your region.

After restoring factory settings, you can use 3rd party tool like partition manager to create one more data partition from C:\ drive.

Dear Vishruth,

Thanks for the prompt reply. But my original back-up disks are of Windows 8.1. Can I restore using the same. As I have upgraded my OS to Win 10 using upgradation offer from Microsoft.

Thanks,

I'm not sure what you mean by back up discs.

If you've created HP recovery discs using HP recovery manager after first setup of this notebook, that means HP Recovery partition image is created on to the discs.

Upgradation to Windows 10 will nevertheless corrupt HP Recovery partition, so what you can do to bring back HP Recovery partition is to factory reset using HP recovery discs you created first or order HP Recovery USB from HP

Hi

You could try Paragon Partition Manager to create the new partitions.

Recovery size 16to32 GB. The rest is your choice.

You can download Microsoft iso images, without HP drivers for W8 and W10, then buy anything else from HP.W10 Repair.png
