I have forgotten my password and can’t get it to even reset because I don’t have a backups

If you set up your computer with a Microsoft account (using your email address) then you can reset your password at account.microsoft.com from another device and so long as your laptop is connected to the internet when it boots up you should be able to login using your new password.

 

if you setup your computer with a local account (using just a username and password) then the only solution we are able to offer is to completely reset your machine. Your local computer tech may be able to bypass the password however we are not able to provide details on how this can be done unfortunately.
