@San211183,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Sorry you're locked out. Here are all the steps to try:

  1. Microsoft account sign-in?
    Go to Recover your account on another device, reset your password, then sign in on the laptop (connect it to the internet at the login screen).

  2. Password Reset Disk?
    If you created one earlier, plug it in and follow the "Reset password" link.

  3. Reset this PC
    From the login screen, choose Power → Restart while holding Shift, then Troubleshoot → Reset this PC.
    You can pick Keep my files or Remove everything (may erase apps/settings). Be Warned: the "Remove everything" will do exactly that: you'll lose all your data.

  4. Reinstall Windows
    If nothing works, reinstall Windows using installation media -but back up data first if possible.

  5. If you remove the drive
    You can connect it to another PC to copy files, but note: most modern HP laptops have BitLocker encryption enabled by default. You'll need the BitLocker recovery key (usually saved in your Microsoft account under Devices → Recovery keys) to unlock it. Without that key, files cannot be read.

  6. HP or authorized service
    If it's a BIOS or BitLocker lockout and you can't find the recovery key, contact HP Support India or an authorized service center in India with proof of ownership (invoice, serial number, photo ID).

Kind Regards,
